FAQs

So how do I go about starting therapy?

If you think you’d like to work together, please schedule a phone consultation with me here. We can then have a short chat to see if I am a good fit for you, and if I am, we can find a time for your weekly therapy session. I will then send you paperwork to fill out online before our first session. If I am not a good fit for you I will do my best to offer you a referral. I know finding a therapist can be tough!

How would therapy work for my teen?

If you’d like your teen to work with me, please schedule a phone consultation with me here. I also encourage you to show my website to your teen so they can feel a part of the process. We would then have a short phone call to see if I am a good fit for your teen overall and whether I can meet your family’s needs. We would then find a time for your teen to see me weekly, and it will also be important for us to schedule a weekly parent session for you. I can explain all of this further on the call. If I am not able to meet your family’s needs, I will do my best to provide appropriate teen friendly resources for you to follow up with.

How much do your sessions cost?

My rates range from $180-$200 per session depending on how many sessions you may have per week. I use a secure online portal to collect payments via Stripe, so any debit or credit card you choose should be accepted. Payments can then be made with a click of a button, or even automatically after each session if you so choose. I also accept cash if this is easier.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I accept Anthem Blue Cross. I am not on any other insurance panels at this time. If you have out of network benefits through your insurance, I will be able to provide you with a Superbill you can use to get reimbursement from your insurance company.

Do you ever offer virtual therapy?

Yes! If you are unable to make your session in person (we know how this LA traffic can be), we can meet online. I use a secure online portal where you can still have your session from a laptop or even your smartphone. You can have therapy only online, or use online as a backup so you don’t have to miss a session if you can’t make it in person one week.
